  1. Shop around! Find several staffing services that specialize in servicing the type of position(s) you need to fill and compare the caliber of temporary professionals available and the level of service provided. Ask to review resumes. As temporary staffing needs are often last minute, you’ll want a service that is reassuring that they have the type of experienced professionals you need and that they are able to present them in your time frame.



  2. Assign a responsible permanent employee to act as liaison between the company and the staffing service. Building a relationship with a staffing company can get you preferential treatment when you need it most.



  3. Communicate your needs as specifically as possible. It is absolutely essential to give the staffing service a detailed job description.
